The Nature Conservancy of Canada’s Conservation Volunteers program engages Canadians of all ages in protecting our country’s species and natural habitats. Volunteers work in ecologically significant lands helping with important conservation activities – from butterfly inventories and cleaning up beaches to removing invasive species and stabilizing stream banks. In 2014, Canadians joined NCC at hundreds of conservation projects, contributing more than 13,000 hours to caring for Canada’s natural places

I would volunteer again in a heartbeat. The experience was very rewarding and I appreciated the opportunity to meet and work with other like-minded people who value conservation and keeping wild areas intact and healthy.
